We have the honor of having proposed and designed the biggest waste water treatment plant for industrial reuse of Monterrey's metropolitan area, the San Rafael's plant, with a capacity of 900 l/s (20.54 MGD). This plant supplies in a successful manner to the Cadereyta's refinery and to fourteen plants in the Monterrey's metropolitan area.

In relation to the above, when the Cadereyta's refinery started operations, the directors from Petroleos Mexicanos (“PEMEX”) were considering canceling it or moving it, due to the wells that had been drilled in the areas of Cerritos and Papagayos were producing about tenth of the water that they were expecting to produce, and that the refinery needed. Besides that, the water was of very poor quality. Derivative of this, we received the honorable invitation to carry out the “Feasibility Study to Supply Water to the Refinery of Cadereyta”, after analyzing several alternatives, to supply the refinery, we selected and proposed the waste water treatment plant of San Rafael. Which not only did it solve the supply problem that the refinery had in those days, but also guaranteed the water supply for its recent expansion. This is only one of the many projects that since we started operations have accomplished on this area.
